tracking controlling localization

Over the past decades, I’ve worked on a wide range of technical projects; from industrial automation to embedded systems and IoT solutions.
Below is a selection of recent and representative case studies that show what I do, how I work, and where my strengths lie.
Each project was chosen for its technical depth, social relevance, or innovative character.

Stable technology?

Track & trace for eggs

For a producer in the food industry, I developed a track & trace system in C++. The software ran on Linux and used REST communication and TCP/IP sockets for the scanners. The system ensured full traceability of eggs throughout the chain, from sorting to packaging.

Collecting machine data

In this project, I designed a flexible solution to collect machine data via various industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, CANopen, Modbus, TCP/IP sockets, WebSockets, and CodeSys PLCHandler. The software was written in C# (with parts in C++) and ran in Docker containers on a Linux IoT Edge IPC platform. This solution made it possible to centralize and analyze data from various machines.

EV charging controller with load balancing

I am currently developing controller software for EV charging stations in C++. Communication between processes runs via MQTT, with integration to smart meters via RS485/Modbus RTU. The software supports load balancing between multiple charging stations, ensuring efficient distribution of available power.

GPS module on an embedded controller

In an ongoing project, I’m developing a module that reads GPS data and publishes it via MQTT to a central broker. The software runs on an ARM embedded controller and is part of a larger system currently in development. This solution is designed with reliability, scalability, and integration with other system components in mind.

Need process control / monitoring?

Moving forward together

I prefer working with organizations that want to grow, improve, and innovate; whether that means digitizing existing processes, developing new embedded modules, or integrating smart control into machines.

I think along, build along, and help you move forward.
